Mentorship – Making the network more sustainable…

  • How would mentorship empower the PoC network ?
  • Are group mentorships (e.g. “Erfolgsteams” – german article) more sustainable ?
  • How to match the right mentors – mentees ? Can we set up an exchange page for that ?

Co-created knowledge – re-using knowledge created within PoC on the market

  • How to pay back the joint knowledge investments ?
  • Who owns the rights of the co-created knowledge (e.g. Learning Journeys) ?
  • Would creative commons rules help ?

Thought from Mark Siebert, Germany:

As the knowledge asset (method, etc.) has been created by many users and participants, ownership is difficult to fix. Why not fixing it to the network as neutral instance with the following rules:

  • Everybody in the network is allowed to use the knowledge asset and provide services upon
  • He has to reference the origin of the asset but has full ownership rights
  • Everybody in his 1st degree of network (e.g. based on LinkedIn/ Xing, etc.) is also entitled to use the asset. Further network circles would have to pay for it
  • For every xy professional usages a free service is offered to the network

Thought/suggestion from Carsten Ohm, Denmark:

“Creative commons” seems – to me – to be a simple way to deal with some of this. It’s been started to solve some of the things we talk about, and might be what is fair and possible at this time. The adventage of it is that it is simple, non-bureacratic and self-organising. Some of the things we might want to see to, is more complex – and might only be possible to implement once a creative common practise is in place. So I suggest, that we start/continue (some pioneers have used/are already using) the “Creative Commons” framework. A first step would be that we educate ourselves in what it is and how to use it – (though simple).

“Creative commons”  is translated into all major and many minor  languages – a good way to learn about it is at www.creativecommons.org

 Thought/suggestion from Mark Siebert, Germany:

I hear you and like to comment that I think that CC is still based on a fixed and clear identified ownership of a knowledge asset. In a co-creation it might be hard to draw the line, who is part of the owners and who not. But happ to explor CC further. Are there any learnings in the web on this in use already…
